The Longines Tops International Arena will see the world’s top show jumping talent descend on the stunning grass arena for the Longines Global Champions Tour of Valkenswaard this weekend. Serving as the thirteenth stop on this year’s tour, riders will battle it out for top honors at the birthplace of the LGCT and GCL.
Top Dutch talent will be out in full force with stars like Harrie Smolders, individual bronze medalist Maikel van der Vleuten, and last year’s LGCT Grand Prix of Valkenswaard winner Sanne Thijssen. Top Belgian riders Jérôme Guéry and Gregory Wathelet are also headed across the border to Valkenswaard.
Still fresh off their team triumphs in Paris, Great Britain team gold medalist Scott Brash, silver team medalist from the USA Laura Kraut, and the riders that secured team bronze on home turf Simon Delestre and Kevin Staut, will all head to Valkenswaard to vie for top honors.
Joining them will be a host of international talent, including world number one Henrik von Eckermann from Sweden, Australia’s Edwina Tops-Alexander, Italy’s Lorenzo de Luca, Max Kühner of Austria, and Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt and Richard Vogel.
With the biggest show jumping show down of the season set to take place at LTIA, all eyes will be firmly fixed on Valkenswaard to see who will claim victory.
